Itinerary
Day 1: Espace San Jose to Arenal
A shared-ride shuttle will pick you up from the Juan Santamaria airport near San Jose and whisk you away on a three-hour journey through Costa Rica's rolling hills to your hotel at the base of the Arenal Volcano outside the town of La Fortuna.
Overnight: Volcano Lodge and Springs (or similar)
Day 2: Arenal Volcano hike & hot springs
Explore La Fortuna town in the morning on your own. In the afternoon, join your fellow travelers to stroll through the forest at the base of Arenal Volcano, guests reach the rocky terrain leftover from the lava flow. Ascending the dark, lichen-covered rocks reach a viewpoint of the whole park. In one direction, the volcano towers over the park – the view is as close as you can get – and in the other direction Lake Arenal spreads out across the horizon. Then, head to a hot spring resort and soak in thermal waters.

Day 3: Whitewater rafting in Arenal
Choose your level of excitement: raft down the Balsa River on Class II-III rapids through the verdant pastureland and secondary forest; Ride the adrenaline-pumping Class III-IV rapids of the Toro River or float down the Penas Blancas River while searching for Costa Rican wildlife like sloths, monkeys, caimans and iguanas. Trips include experienced locals guides, equipment, meals and round-trip transportation from your hotel.

Day 4 Escape Arenal to Manuel Antonio
A shared-ride shuttle will pick you up at your hotel and take you away on a four hour and a half journey through rolling hills and breathtaking coastline views to Manuel Antonio.

Day 5: Manuel Antonio National Park
Grab a towel, a pair of binoculars and some hiking shoes and join your guided tour at Manuel Antonio National Park; you'll want to cover as much ground as you can to explore the park's beaches, secondary and primary rainforests, mangroves, marshlands and rocky islands. Manuel Antonio Beach, the park's most popular destination, is a stunning tropical cove featuring white sands, and crystal blue waters.

Day 6: Quepos & Espadilla Beach
Explore the town of Quepos, get caught up in the local flavors by eating at a soda, try your hand at surfing, sunbathe with piña colada in hand at Espadilla Beach.

Day 7: Airport transfer
Enjoy those last few hours of relaxation with a private shuttle transfer back to the Juan Santamaria Airport near San Jose for your journey back to the real world. Make sure to schedule your flight to allow two extra hours to check-in at the airport.
